Arts and Humanities Consortium

The Arts & Humanities Consortium of the Universities of Stirling and Strathclyde has been established in order to further our strong track record of collaboration.

We have been awarded an AHRC Block Grant Partnership for 2011-14, further details of which are available on our Studentships page.

The Consortium combines academic excellence with social and economic relevance, through the integration of research-led academic study, professional skills acquisition, and knowledge exchange activities.

The Consortium accentuates and enhances research and professional strengths, furthers inter-institutional collaborations at staff and student level, and is developing an innovative and flexible approach to training, interdisciplinary study, and public engagement. Both universities are seeking to build on existing strengths and a shared ethos in order to develop our distinctive, high quality research-intensive environments where staff, postgraduates and external partners can work together to set, renew and develop research agendas.
